Wissahickon Brewing Company is an award winning, family owned and operated brewery in Philadelphia, PA.  The Philadelphia location includes a full production facility and a very popular tasting room and beer garden.  The tasting room is open 7 days per week and has a welcoming, rustic charm that caters to a diverse customer base serving the Greater Philadelphia region.  Popular among beer lovers and their families, it is a fun destination spot for great beer, slushies, wine and rotating mobile food trucks.    

The Tasting Room Manager is responsible for the overarching success and seamless operation of the tasting room and beer garden. 

Ensure a top-notch daily retail customer experience through consistent adherence to tasting room policies and procedures (operations, cleanliness, atmosphere, decor, etc.).

Recommend operational changes and revenue opportunities to management when appropriate.

Communicate issues to management in a timely manner. 

Manage tasting room staff scheduling. 

Coach, counsel, and reward staff when appropriate.

Review potential service provider proposals and perform cost comparisons.

Maintain an accurate record of beer transfers from cold storage.

Maintain and update digital drinks menu, POS, and online beer store.

Inventory and replenish consumable items; conduct cost analysis to identify potential savings.

Work with marketing to ensure promotions, specials, and events are posted on all media platforms.

Ensure staff have a deep knowledge of all beers on tap.

Create recipes for specialty craft slushies, hot drinks, and cocktails. 

Perform routine maintenance on bar equipment such as slushie machine, glass washer, crowler seamer, tap lines, etc.

Perform other brewery-related tasks on an as-needed basis.

Must demonstrate a commitment to safety.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.  

Must have experience managing a team.

Must be self-directed and work well with minimal supervision. 

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Must be able to quickly adapt to changing work priorities.  

Must foster a culture of positivity and continuous improvement.

Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule when needed. 

Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. 

Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours at a time.

Compensation/Salary: $43,000.00 - $53,000.00 per Year
