Officers responded to a 911 call at a residence Sept. 23 and learned that a man had called because his sister had taken his clothes out of the washing machine without his permission.

It was his third load of laundry, and the woman said she took it out because it was taking too long.

The man, 27, wanted to pursue charges against his sister for touching his laundry, but officers advised him that no crime had been committed.

They were both told to work out the matter as adults, since they were living together in their grandmother’s house.

Officers responded to Hibachi Taste around 2:30 a.m. Sept. 19 for a welfare check on a woman who had been sitting there for 30 minutes.

They learned that she was trying to get a ride to Youngstown from a man she had met on a dating website. Instead, the man assaulted her and dropped her off in Euclid before she walked into Richmond Heights.

She was uncertain who she was and could not provide any personal information. She was subsequently taken to a hospital.

A woman reported Sept. 22 that after her daughter was in a fight at the high school, she received four missed calls from an unknown person.

She subsequently returned a call and spoke with a woman, who attempted to get her to come to Cleveland to fight her. The woman also threatened to go to the high school and punch the woman’s daughter.

Officers were unable to identify the woman based on the phone number.

Two women got into a minor altercation at Goodfellas BBQ Sept. 23 after one attempted to hook the other up with a man at the bar.

The second woman was upset because she said her friend knew she already had a boyfriend.

Officers helped adjust the situation and advised one of the women that she had three active warrants out of Euclid.

A resident said Sept. 20 that he had received a phone call from someone who wanted to lock in his cable TV rates because he said rates were rising.

He said the caller knew his personal information, but said he then called the cable company directly and was told that his bill was not being raised.

An officer called the original number, but was told information could not be provided for security purposes.

A Euclid man, 25, struck a window with his fist on an entry door at the Dorchester Village apartments Sept. 21, causing the glass to break.

Responding officers located him sitting near the door with his personal belongings. They charged him with criminal damaging.

An unknown man pulled out the screen of an ATM at Rebel Marathon Sept. 21.

He had told an employee that the machine was not working, then cussed at the employee who tried to help him. He then left the area.

Officers found no permanent damage to the ATM and believed the screen was not properly secured to the unit.
