glasstec 2022 wraps up today in Düsseldorf, Germany. Many exhibitors reported slower traffic than in years past but added that was expected due to the residual effects of the pandemic. They also said that those who did attend were there for serious purchases.
Machinery companies, in particular, were busy throughout the four-day show.
This includes DeGorter Inc., which represents several lines in the U.S., such as Schiatti Angelo and Pujol, among others.
Schiatti Angelo introduced a 10-spindle edger with self-adjusting diamond wheels.
At the show, Schiatti Angelo introduced a 10-spindle edger with self-adjusting diamond wheels. Dan DeGorter said that with this line operators don’t have to adjust constantly. This feature can help companies address the lack of labor challenges they’re seeing currently, he added.
Pujol highlighted its LAM-PRO laminating line, as well as a variety of Evalam interlayer products. According to Sergio Permanyer Bueno, marketing manager, the LAM-PRO was developed for companies seeking to achieve high performance with little investment.
Tecglass, part of the Fenzi group, was also busy throughout the show. The company showcased its complete line of digital printing, including robotics, washing and the finished printed project. According to Fenzi, the printer heads have the capability to run both vertically and horizontally across the glass.
Pujol highlighted its LAM-PRO laminating line, as well as a variety of Evalam interlayer products.
Fenzi also featured a variety of products from its other lines, including sealants for warm-edge technology.
After four days of networking and introducing the latest technology, glasstec 2022 draws to a close. Throughout the four days, the global glazing industry was together once again following a brief hiatus. Show organizers reported 936 exhibitors from 47 countries and 30,000 attendees from 119 countries.
