OUR latest Property of the Week is this stunning five-bedroom Edwardian house located in the heart of Clydebank.

The substantial stone property, dating from just after the turn of the 20th century, is currently on the market for offers over £420,000 and is sure to be snapped up fast.

The home is slightly dated and would require some modernisation, making it perfect for those looking for a project – however it is highlighted that the roof was re-slated in 2010.

The property is set over two floors and enjoys some of its retained period features most notably cornice work, ceiling plasterwork, and fine wall panels with plaster reliefs in the hall, staircase, and upper hall.

On entering the home there is an entrance vestibule with the original Edwardian tile floor retained.

This goes onto the hall which can be accessed via an original etched glass panel door. From here the sitting room can be found.

The sitting room boasts a bay window to the front and a mahogany fireplace at the focal point of the room with a tiled inlay and hearth.

Moving down the hall there is the dining room which is ideal for those who enjoy natural light as it has a three framed window to the front.

There is another mahogany fire in this room featuring a brass arts and crafts style fireplace.

Continuing through the property there is the family which comprises of rear facing windows, a tiled fireplace with an old Parkray coal fire and a wash hand basin.

The property is perfect for those looking for a work/life balance as it features a home office/hobbies room on the ground floor.

This is a side extension to the property and has an external access door and two windows to the side.

The rear hall provides access to the kitchen and has an under-stair storage cupboard area as well as a stained glass window leading to the rear of the home.

The kitchen enjoys pine country style units, a wood burning stove set within a traditional oak fire surround and laundry pulley.

At the rear of the home there is a back door providing entry to the side of the house.

There is also a small laundry room with space for a washing machine and tumble dryer. Just off of the laundry room is the shower room which comprises of a wash hand basin and an over sized shower enclosure with an electric Mira Go shower.

There is also a WC on this level with an original WC with high-level cistern with pull chain.

Heading up the stairs – which features the original balustrade, handrails and newel posts – to the first floor is where all five of the property’s bedrooms can be found.

Upstairs, bedroom one was originally the drawing room and a grand room with a fine plaster ceiling, tiled fireplace, and bay window.

It has front facing windows with a good view southward taking in the horizon of the Renfrewshire hills. It also enjoys views of Clydebank’s famous Titan Crane.

Bedroom two, three, and four are all double rooms with bedroom five being a single room set to the front with similar views to the first.

The bathroom boasts a traditional white suite with an electric Mira Sport shower set over the bath, and black vitrolite wall tiling on walls with a yellow border.

Other features of this property include all the windows being original timber sash and casement windows, some of which have secondary glazed units. The home office has fixed frame windows with secondary glazing.

The property does not have central heating, instead the rooms are heated via old electric radiators.

Outside, there are two garages, both with electric garage doors and with power and light installed. One of these is a detached double garage of breezeblock construction and the other a single garage of traditional brick construction. The garden features two timber sheds and an old aluminium framed greenhouse. It lies mainly to grass and is enclosed.

The driveway, located at the front of the home, is gated and there are a set of gates to the side of the house too.

The rear garden is enclosed by an original brick garden wall and as with the house there will likely be some work needing done but this is ideal for those looking to make their own mark on their property.
